Trip to Lazer Rush 16th November

With 16 players we split into 2 teams over 3 games. The first game was a practice one where we were on an individual basis, the first 2 winners were from the boys and 3rd place was taken by one of the girls.

In the following games we teamed up, the 2nd game being the older guys against the younger ones - very closely contested. The final game had to be girls v boys. The boys totally anialiated the girls with a score we won't even mention! But all good fun - hope to do this again! Thank you to Kent Youth for helping to fund this event.

We entered 2 Chestfield Teams into the Canterbury Summer handicap leagues this year and both teams reached the Semi Finals of the plate competition. The teams (Chestfield Warriors 1 and 2) are all residents from Chestfield and had an excellent match against each other with Warriors 1 going through to the finals.
They met against a team called Magnum Force who they beat quite easily to take the championship title.

For the forthcoming winter league, John and Linda Wickings (already playing in Division 3)will be joined by Stefan Poole (4th Division) and Bernard Ebeck (4th Division) to further strengthen representation from Chestfield.

Next year we are hoping to enter a youth team into the Summer Leages

Canterbury & District Open Tournament at the Simon Langton Boys School 1/10/06 - Linda Wickings and Tina Stewart won the Ladies Doubles Cup.

Linda and Tina also went on to Runners-up in the Ladies Doubles 2007 competition again held at Simon Langton Boys School

John and Linda also took winner and runner-up respectively in the Division 3 Singles competition 2007

We have entered 4 teams from Chestfield (Warriors 1,2, 3 and 4 ) in the Winter League Competition 2007.

We are looking for local businesses to help fund/sponsor these very worthwhile projects. If your company would like to become involved in this please contact: Cllr Linda Wickings either by e-mail or call 01227 794580 or e-mail
