The Interactive sign has now been purchased, the ten volunteers have completed their training. It is now “all systems go!”. Do bear in mind that no prosecutions will arise directly from Speed Watch’s activities, but if the same car appears to transgress two or three times then the Police will become interested and take action on their own account. I am sure that none of us is blameless; it is too easy to concentrate on something else and let the speed build up. The checks which will take place will now include a site in  the ‘30’ zone on Radfall Hill. There will be warning signs and all the volunteers will wear yellow jackets. The aim is not to catch people speeding, but to ensure that the limit is observed.
